School and Library VisitsI love coming to schools and other venues to talk about books and writing! I'm available to speak with children of all ages, teens, and/or adults about the writing process. I would be happy to develop a custom presentation based on your individual needs. Because I am both an author and an editor, I can offer your students a view of the publishing process from two very different perspectives.
My fees for school visits are $1000/day (plus expenses) within the five boroughs of New York City and $1200/day (plus expenses) for other locations. I prefer to do no more than three presentations in one day, plus a book signing (if desired). Fees for public libraries and professional conferences vary; please contact me for more information. If you are interested in having me visit your school or library, please contact me directly for further information on programs, fees, availability, etc. It's best to schedule visits as far in advance as possible. Ordering books: If you're going to order copies of my books to sell for autographing sessions, please be sure to allow enough time for the books to arrive! Ordering at least 4–6 weeks ahead of time is a good idea. I'm happy to do book signings on the day of the visit (following each presentation, in between presentations, or at the end of the day) at no additional charge.
